I copied contents from crack to freshly installed game folder in SteamsteamappscommonTotal War Attila
I ran CPUID.Patch.bat
I have steam running, it's on the login screen.

I'm trying to start the game by using launcher.exe in the launcher folder, running it as administrator.
But it keeps giving the message:
Failed to initialize Steam!
Are you running Steam?


Now what?

Edit: Using alternate method of adding attilb.exe to the steam library as a non-steam game results in a lengthy message starting with: Your steam installation appears to have been modified in a manner that has corrupted the game, so it is unable to continue.

So what went wrong?
Bad instructions, or bad crack? As i'm confident I followed all instructions.

Edit 2: Thinking it might matter where Steam is installed? Mine is installed on my D drive. The crack might require it on C?

My game is not in steam(D:Total War Attila) and i have a version of 3DMGAME-Total.War.Attila. I copy all files to D:Total War Attila. After that i follow the instruction, it works for me perfectly. So try it again and good luck!
-Note: steam must be runing, u can log in and run it in offline mode.

Run CPUID.Patch.bat first, and try to run it from launcher.exe(as ministrator) in launcher folder. Then u click play (red icon) to play the game.
