As for conversion to .pdf's, I would recommend using ABC Amber Sony Converter, it will convert not only to .pdf's but a host of other formats, and ABC Amber also has many other useful programs for ebook conversion. If you are trying to convert .lit files to an openly convertible format then I would use ConvertLit which can be found here:

**ALSO** Sony's ebook reader program was recommended in one of the comments here, while a very useful program when it comes to syncing your Reader, it fails miserably when it comes to editing information and usability in general. I would HIGHLY recommend using Calibre, it is much more useful, syncs to many different readers, has a system that will automatically edit metadata information (title, author, publisher, summary, etc.).
