Underdogs Greatest Bits Volume One - 2012 (2CD FLAC)

For a while, Trevor Jackson's Underdog remixes were near ubiquitous. His beats and bass heavy hip hop mixes were loaded on the B-sides of records by everyone from Massive Attack to House Of Pain and U2, and many of them appear here. It's a bit of a blast from the past actually, serving 25 reminders of a bygone era that's really not so fashionable nowadays, but still holds up as fine and smoked-out beats. If we're picking highlights from this first volume the likes of his 'Protection' and 'Sly' mixes for Massive Attack still hold up really well, as does his robust rework of Ian Brown's 'Be There'.
