Description Some of the worlds must accomplished and acclaimed female artists have joined together for the song “Just Stand Up,” a charity single in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a new initiative to raise philanthropic dollars for accelerating ground-breaking cancer research. The roster of ladies include Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes, and Carrie Underwood. The project was conceived by Antonio “L.A.” Reid of Island Def Jam Music Group and was produced by Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. This will be their first collaborative effort in two decades. The all-star television performance premiere of the song will take place live on Friday, September 5th, when ABC, CBS, and NBC simultaneously devote one hour of commercial-free prime-time to this nationwide event.
