Visual Pinball Complete - Installation Instructions



Step 1: Visual PinMAME Setup

+Enter the VPinMAME folder and run setup.exe

+Click on [Install] and when the About Visual PinMAME splashscreen comes up, click [OK]. Click [OK] once more to start setting up the options.

+Click on the [...] button to the right of the Roms field and browse to your "Visual Pinball Complete/VPinMAME/roms/" folder, then press [OK]. The rest of the fields should fill themselves in correctly based on your location in Roms. Click [OK] when you're finished.

+Last is the Default Options screen. I recommend leaving the options set to their default, but if you know what you're changing, feel free! Click [OK] when you're done.



Step 2: VPLauncher Setup

+Enter the VPLauncher folder and run VPLauncher.exe. The program will give a "No Tables!" error, but it's not configured yet. Click [OK]

+From the System menu, choose Configuration.

+[Browse] to choose the location of the Visual Pinball Executable. It's located in the main Visual Pinball Complete folder, named VPinball.exe.

+For Directories Containing Pinball Tables, click [Add] and browse to the "Visual Pinball Complete/Tables/" folder.

+[Browse] to choose the location of the Flyers and Rules folders, located in the "Visual Pinball CompleteVPLauncherFlyers" and "...VPLauncherRules" folders respectively.

+Click [OK], then name your configuration file and click [OK] to finish.



The setup is now complete! It takes a bit for VPLauncher to check the tables for the first time, but when it's done, just double-click on any game to play it!



[NOTE]

+You might have to drag the Visual PinMAME display to the correct location on the table's screen the first time, but placement is saved.

+You may need to restart the table once PinMAME initializes if it displays "Factory Settings Restored" and nothing else. Press [ESC] to get back to the Tables display and run it again. Everything should run normally.

+You only need to confirm that you are allowed to run each table once. Every time you load that table after that it will come up right away with no questions.
