VMware Workstation provides a tool virtualization operating system (OS) on a

host machine. The application is here called a hypervisor and can create virtual

machines (VM) management complete with sound, video, network, amount of

RAM, hard drives, processors, etc. VMware Workstation can intercept USB devices

when connecting to integrate the guest OS. The software allows to run multiple

VMs simultaneously, the pause to resume later in the state previously allowed,

etc. Finally, VMware Workstation provides users with a VNC connection for remote

desktop access the guest system and thus facilitate software demonstrations on

a clean OS
