During the Voltes team's fight with a Boazanian beast monster, Mark accidentally damaged Mrs. Armstrong's grave post. A clash started between Mark and Steve over the incident. Mark's past was then revealed. He thought her mother abandoned him when they were in America, so he hated her mom and started hating all mothers. Later on, he learned that her mom died protecting him and his sick father from the attacking pack of wolves.
