We are History is a British comedy series broadcast on BBC 2. It ran for two series of six ten-minute episodes. The series was a parody on historical and archaeological documentaries such as Time Team. Marcus Brigstocke plays dubious historian David Oxley, who attempts to reconstruct a number of historical events, but on a very limited budget. Much of the humour derives from Oxley's incompetence and stupidity. He seems totally unaware of the facts of history and often makes things up as he goes along. In every episode, Oxley talks of "new evidence unearthed by local enthusiasts". In this episode he tries to recreate nineteenth century factory conditions in a call centre.
