Album Review

If the project's name doesn't give it away, Hillsong Young & Free is the Hillsong United style of worship, done young. In other words, if the parent group worships with rock-influenced songs and a rock band line-up, Hillsong Young & Free praise the Lord with a slick blast of electro, as highlights "Brighter" and "Alive" are crackling club cuts. EDM is an influence too, but key tracks "Lifeline" and "Sinking Deep" come with a dreamy, indie-pop style, plus the bulk of the recording is live, making this less a dance mix and more like a Worship rave. Three slick studio recordings complete the exciting set.
