This is a Sean Bean narrated BBC retrospective on the amazing France 98 World Cup Quarter Final between England and Argentina. Features interviews with fans of both teams who were at the game (or trying dsperately to get tickets!) as well as players from both camps, including Alan Shearer, Sol Campbell, David Batty, Darren Anderton, Diego Simeone, Carlos Roa and Juan Sebastian Veron. Other famous interviewees include the then England manager Glen Hoddle, Mick Jagger (who was at the game), Ulrika Jonsson, David Ginola, Des Lynam and well known sports journalists of the time. There are even a quick few words from then Prime Minister Tony Blair and Her Majesty the Queen!! All the interviews and accounts are interspersed with footage from the game and we finally get to hear from the Norwegian referee Kim Milton Nielson as he explains some of the controversial decisions he made during the game. Produced and directed for the BBC by Phil Day. Transmission date: 02/12/1998 Duration: 50 mins.
