Ray Mears continues the series in which he delves into the spectacularly diverse Australian landscape, looking at the varieties of flora and fauna. Ray hitches a lift on a research crane to get a bird’s-eye view of the stunning landscape of northern Queensland. He returns to terra firma to delve into the heart of the jungle, where he comes across ancient trees, camouflaged spiders and a miniature dinosaur, the Boyd’s Forest Dragon. Ray then joins wildlife expert Justin McMahon to observe life in the tree canopy. Finally, he gets on a quad bike to search for the elusive cassowary, a flightless bird that lives deep in the rainforest.
