Here I explain how to activate the Windows 8.1 Professional with Media Center using you free Media Center key that you've got from Microsoft :

1.Disconnect from the internet (and remain like that)
2.Install Windows 8.1 Pro RTM (either x86 or x64) using this key : XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB
3.After installation upgrade to Media Center with this key : RR3BN-3YY9P-9D7FC-7J4YF-QGJXW
4.Download "data.dat" and place it in "C:WindowsSystem32sppstore2.0" overwriting the original one (data.dat is hidden)
5.Run "cmd.exe" as admin and type "slmgr -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" (replace XXXXX with your Media Center upgrade key)
6.Run "slui 4" select United Kingdom,and call the toll free number on Skype to activate Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center
7.Connect to internet and have fun

Follow these steps to add Windows 8 Media Center Pack to your PC running Windows 8 Pro:
1-Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search).
2-Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
3-Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.
4-Then tap or click I already have a product key.
5-Enter the product key, and then click Next.
6-Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.
Your PC will restart automatically and Windows Media Center will be available for use.
