This is a VirtualBox machine & hard drive with the following
operating systems installed on it:

DOS7/Windows 98SE
Windows XP
Windows 7
Ubuntu Natty

Essentially, it's a quadboot system. Ubuntu was used to
provide a bootloader and for various diagnostics.

When starting, simply wait to be given 3 Windows boot choices.

The machine has been LZMA compressed. Ensure you have the 20
gigs of HDD space needed for decompression!

Pay attention to the notes section for each OS. They will each
need a slightly different configuration to run correctly!

Display Doctor is needed for a decent screen resolution and
color depth, and Rain20 prevents 98 from hogging the CPU.

An error will occur when starting up. This can be safely
ignored by pressing enter when prompted.

This option REQUIRES 512MB RAM, Soundblaster16 sound and
PCnet-PCI II networking to function correctly. Be sure to
enable these options before booting.

This option REQUIRES ICH AC97 sound and PCnet-Fast III
networking to function. Ideal RAM would be 1024MB.

XP takes a while to load up properly. When networking starts
working, it's ready to use.

This system took a fair bit of time and tears to set up right.
I hope you find some use for it. With 98, XP and 7 - there
should be very few programs that are unable to run.

You will need to install VirtualBox from here:
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

When downloaded and installed, simply open the Machine menu,
click Add then browse for the extracted VM. Depending on your
system, you may have to reset the path for the virtual HDD.

These systems were built on an Intel based host. I have tested
them on an AMD host also to ensure compatibility.

The current configuration is set to Windows 7. You will have to
edit the VM settings to boot 98 or XP.

If there's enough interest, I'll definitely be doing another
release for VBox & VMWare.
