Working Girls (2010)
Viva Films is remaking the 1980s hit movie “Working Girls.” The 2010 version of the film (aptly titled “Working Girls 2010) will bring together some of local showbiz’s brightest stars including Ruffa Gutierrez, Eula Valdez, Eugene Domingo and Cristine Reyes. Jose Javier Reyes will be helmed the movie.
In an interview during the movie’s story conference, Ruffa shared her thoughts about the upcoming movie: “Yes, I’m very excited to be part of the iconic film ‘Working Girls’ which was shown 25 years ago now we will be working with the great Joey Reyes.”
Eula also added: “Excited ako siyempre kasi napanood ko ‘yong original, ‘yong first ‘Working Girls’ masaya ‘yon.”
For her part, Cristine divulged her role in the movie: “Ang role ko dito sa ‘Working Girls’ ako si Wendy. Bale isa akong promo girl, medyo may pagka-komedyante dito. So kakaiba sa mga roles na nagawa ko before.”
The 1980s version of “Working Girls” starred Rio Locsin, Maria Isabel Lopez, Carmi Martin, Chanda Romero, Baby Delgado, Hilda Koronel and Gina Pareño, and directed by the renowned Ishmael Bernal.
