Trama :

Polonia, 1944. In un campo di concentramento il misterioso dottor Schmidt osserva un giovane Erik Lehnsherr distruggere un cancello di metallo a distanza dopo essere stato separato dai suoi genitori. Nel suo ufficio, Schmidt chiede a Erik di replicare l'evento muovendo una monetina di metallo; quando il giovane non ci riesce, Schmidt uccide sua madre sotto i suoi occhi scatenando la sua ira. In pochissimo tempo Erik distrugge la stanza e uccide due soldati sotto gli occhi, divertiti e appagati, del dottor Schmidt. Nel frattempo a Westchester County, New York, il giovane telepate Charles Xavier incontra nella sua cucina la mutaforma Raven; felice di aver finalmente incontrato qualcuno "diverso" come lui, Charles la invita a divenire un membro della sua famiglia.
1962. Erik, ormai adulto, dà la caccia ai nazisti sperando di trovare Schmidt per ucciderlo. Intanto in Inghilterra, nella Oxford University, Charles sta per discutere della sua tesi sulla mutazione genetica; Raven, considerata da lui una sorellastra, vive con lui. A Las Vegas, l'agente della CIA Moira MacTaggert segue il colonnello Hendry al Club Infernale dove vede Sebastian Shaw, Janos Questad, Azazel e Emma Frost usare le loro capacità. Hendry scompare con Azazel (che è un teleporta) e si ritrova nella War Room convincendo gli Stati Uniti ad installare dei missili nucleari in Turchia. Successivamente Shaw ucciderà Hendry spiegandogli di essere in realtà il dottor Schmidt, e di essere egli stesso un mutante, in grado di assorbire energia, potere che lo ha mantenuto giovane...

Plot :

In a concentration camp in occupied Poland in 1944, Nazi scientist Dr. Klaus Schmidt observes young Erik Lensherr bend a metal gate with his mind when the child is separated from his mother. In his office, Schmidt orders Lensherr to move a coin on a desk, killing his mother when Lensherr cannot. In grief and anger, Lensherr's magnetic power manifests, killing two guards and destroying the room. Meanwhile, at a mansion in Westchester County, New York, child telepath Charles Xavier meets young shapeshifter Raven, whose natural form is blue-skinned and scaly. Overjoyed to meet someone else "different", he invites her to live with his family as his foster sister.
In 1962, Lensherr is tracking down Schmidt while Xavier is graduating from Oxford University with a thesis about mutation. In Las Vegas, CIA officer Moira MacTaggert follows U.S. Army Colonel Hendry into the Hellfire Club, where she sees Schmidt (now known as Sebastian Shaw), with mutant telepath Emma Frost, cyclone-producing Riptide and teleporter Azazel. Threatened by Shaw and teleported by Azazel to the Joint War Room, Hendry advocates the deployment of nuclear missiles in Turkey. Shaw, an energy-absorbing mutant, later kills Hendry.
MacTaggert, seeking Xavier's advice on mutation, takes him and Raven to the CIA, where they convince Director John McCone that...
