XSplit Gamecaster v2.5 is Now Available Date Posted: 05 AUG 2015It's been just less than a month since we released v2.4 of XSplit Gamecaster but we're excited to announce another update which is XSplit Gamecaster v2.5. You can update via the application or through the download page. You might be asking what's new with this version since it wasn't too long ago since we released v2.4 which in itself had some pretty good features such as Windows 10 compliance and support for YouTube Gaming. This version contains plenty of bug fixes and feature improvements to show that we're not just after adding new features but we're also listening to your feedback to improve and fix as many things as we can. As for the new features, we ported Adaptive Bitrate technology to this version which we've initially introduced in XSplit Broadcaster 2.4. We're also excited to showcase a revolutionary feature that will allow you to do background removal for Chroma keying without any need for a green screen. Introducing the... TriDef Smartcam Integration Most people shy away from doing Chroma key because they don't have a green screen to work with but this integration with TriDef Smartcam completely eliminates the need for one. Check out this video to learn more details. Twitch and Hitbox Chat Viewer are now Available in XSplit Broadcaster Date Posted: 03 AUG 2015One of the most requested features in XSplit Broadcaster is the ability to pull chat feeds from streaming services such as Twitch and Hitbox so it can be easily shown on the stream without needing to use screen capture. There are various workarounds to achieve this but they are definitely not ideal. That's why we're excited to announce that the Twitch and Hitbox chat viewer plugins are finally now available in XSplit Broadcaster. Installing the Chat Viewer Plugins To install both plugins, click on 'Add Source' >> ‘Get more plugins from the plugin store'. Find the plugins and hit the Install button.Adding the chat viewer source to your scene Now that you've installed them, it's time to add the source on your scene. To add, simply click on 'Add Sources' >> 'Other' >> Hitbox Chat Viewer / Twitch IRC Chat Viewer. After adding it, right click the source and authorize it first. When done authorizing your account, hit the 'Connect' button and you're done! XSplit is Going to Gamescom 2015 Date Posted: 01 AUG 2015It's the time of the year again for Europe's biggest trade fair for video games and entertainment, and XSplit will be attending the event as an exhibitor for the first time, co-exhibiting with MSI Germany. We've been to Gamescom a couple of times before as a spectator but this year we will be sharing a booth with MSI Germany located at Hall 8.1 Stand A051. MSI will be showcasing their latest in cutting edge gaming hardware and we will be demonstrating XSplit V2 and how well it works with MSI Hardware. There will be some new features that we will unveil too while in Gamescom. :-) Expect a wide variety of fun and exciting activities around the booth as well as a bunch of swags to be given away by both us and Team MSI. As usual follow the latest happenings on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram if you're not going to be in attendance. We will be updating you with interesting things while in the event and we may also do some social media giveaways so stay tuned! XSplitFamily Daily Rounds Recap for July 2nd - 20th Date Posted: 22 JUL 2015 If you're part of our community and have been following us on Twitter, you probably have seen us do what we call nightly rounds where live streamers, regardless of how big or small they are, share their channels with the chance of getting feedback from us as well being able to ask us any questions about XSplit. Not to mention the possibility to be promoted on our Twitter and even get hosted on our Twitch/Hitbox channels. Without further ado, here are some live streamers whom we have visited and liked in the past couple of weeks. Veroicone First on this list is a girl named Veroicone streaming over at twitch.tv/veroicone. She’s a female streamer from the US who was using the, then, latest version of XSplit Broadcaster 2.3. She is very happy with XSplit after moving a few months ago. When asked what she liked the most; she answered, “how easy everything is to do, like adding sources to scenes, adding text and just in general” Cinematiccheese The next one is a channel called cinematiccheese over at twitch.tv/cinematiccheese. They are a team of 3 streamers all dedicated to having a great time and being very interactive. When asked for feedback for XSplit they simply said “Love the software, wouldn’t change a thing.”Also said he doesn’t know what he would do if he didn’t have XSplit.10 out of 10 :) We love reading/hearing these awesome comments as it shows we are giving the community what they want. Taitaylor86 Taitaylor who can be found at twitch.tv/taitaylor86 is a streamer from Scotland using the latest version of XSplit Broadcaster. We asked him for feedback and straight away he mentioned that one of his favourite features had been taken away, dragging a source to the edge and having it snap to the edge/corner. He insisted he was over it and was used to having the source go out of the mixer window if needed to. Zarimis Next up we chose to show up in zarimis channel when he was live at twitch.tv/matinz. He is an XSplit user from Australia using XSplit Broadcaster. We asked for feedback as we did with all previous and he said almost right away he loves using this version of Broadcaster. Everything is so easy to do. He would like to see borders be more defined. A feature he would love to see implemented is filters for images/video so he can add a little bit of an effect to his stream/pictures similar to how it can be done on Instagram. TheLiveLemon We decided to visit brand new Twitch stream team member TheLiveLemon who was live, using the latest 2.4 XSplit update, on his channel: twitch.tv/thelivelemon. He made it very clear that he really likes XSplit as he saidthe following: “I love XSplit, how easy it is to work with and set everything up”. He also said that he would like a feature that lets you highlight scenes, for example, one scene all text in blue, another scene all text yellow. ChrisDude Last, but not, least we visited ChrisDude who was live on his Twitch channel: twitch.tv/chrisdudeontechtube He’s been using Xsplit for a while now and really likes it. Using version 2.3, but already has plans to update to the newest update, version 2.4. He also may be doing a video review on new update 2.4. When asked if he would add anything to XSplit he jokingly said console integration, but more seriously is really happy with XSplit Broadcaster and wouldn’t change anything. It could be your channel being featured here next time! If you’re live when we tweet out make sure to share us your link and add a little detail about what you’re live streaming so we can visit you and feature you in our next blog post.
