The girls are fourteen and fifteen years old and have already experienced more than most adults. Truancy, escapes from home, prostitution, drugs, life on the streets and misguided loves, even though they are still children. They have incomplete families and botched up lives. Ela is een onrustige vijftienjarige tiener die gevangen zit in het besloten gezag van een tehuis. Ze is afgesloten van de buitenwereld en houdt zich vooral bezig met het schrijven van brieven aan haar dertigjarige vriend Roby, een bewaker. Tijdens het nieuwjaarsfeest ontsnappen ze en verhuist ze met hem naar een garage onder het treinspoor. Ela is bereid om zijn drugsverslaving en gebrek aan toekomstperspectieven te aanvaarden. Ze verkoopt haar lichaam om aan geld te geraken. Ze wordt echter ontgoocheld door Roby’s apathie...
