Si lo que buscas es añadir una contraseña o encriptación a una carpeta o un conjunto de archivos reducidos una opción cómoda es usar Espionage, un programa pensado para esta tarea.

El programa nos permite usar el mismo tipo de encriptación implementada por FileVault, es decir, AES-128+256 Bit, básicamente podemos encriptar una carpeta o los archivos generados por una aplicación, pero además también es capaz de mantener copias de las carpetas seleccionadas para tener a salvo todos nuestros documentos.
