Synopsis

Following a cataclysmic nuclear war, the world teeters on the brink of complete destruction. Civilization is polarized into a degenerate society where opposing packs of marauding scavengers prey on helpless, homeless nomads. For those who are lucky enough to survive the constant brutality and danger, it is a bleak existence. Life and death blur into abstractions. The only hope left for mankind is to find a hero worthy of becoming the next Fist of the North Star — an enlightened warrior — who is capable of leading those with the will to survive out of this barrenness into a new world. But in this savage no-man's-land of shifting loyalties and power-hungry demi-gods, heroes are in short supply.

Important Playback Info

This encode includes two endings. Use Haali Media Splitter to switch between the endings. If it fails, try uninstalling codec packs such as CCCP and K-Lite and install the three filters (ffdshow, Haali, vsfilter) separately. Non-windows users and other users who do not have access to ordered chapters capable players can still watch the home video ending. Simply skip to the end after the credits. Because the home video ending was not dubbed, it uses the Japanese audio spliced into the English track. Select the "Home Video Ending Only" English subtitles when using English audio with the home video ending. To play the video in VLC, you must disable ordered chapters. To disable ordered chapters, open the preferences (or Ctrl+C) and enable all options at the bottom. Then go to Input/Codecs->Demuxers->Matroska disable ordered chapters. You can still see the alternate ending by skipping to the end after the credits.
