Description
If you have problems running this here are some things to try:
Cd into the directory: Open your terminal and type something allong the lines of: 1.) cd ~/BaldursGate2HDorwhatever Run the file: ./start.sh If you aren't running a proprietary driver from AMD or Nvidia the game isn't supported by Gog. But you can probably get it working by renaming the "lib" folder in the game directory to something else, and then create a link to your system libs directory. E.g. on Ubuntu 15.04: Rename the 'lib' directory to something else, like "lib_backup'. Then make a link to your linux distro's libs folder with the name 'lib'. E.g. : ln -s '/lib/i386-linux-gnu/' '~/BaldursGate2HDorwhatever/lib' -Where /lib/i386-linux-gnu/ is your Linux distro's 32bit libraries folder. (The 64 bit ones likely won't work). Also when you launch the game you should watch the output of the terminal to see if it's failing launching or running the game due to not having the required library files. You can type: locate libopenal.so.1 ,for example, to see if you have the libopenal.so.1 file on your PC and find out where it's located. If you don't have it, you can install it by googling for info on how you can install it on your system. In many cases, all you'll need to do is create a link that points to a newer library file if your system has a newer library file that it's using. For example, if your system has libopenal.so.1.2, then you could try creating a link in your lib folder called libopenal.so.1 which points to libopenal.so.1.2, by doing something like typing: sudo ln -s '/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libopenal.so.1.2' '/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libopenal.so.1', but that's just an example, don't do that, just apply the same command structure to whatever library file you need to link. On ubuntu, you don't have a particular library, you can likely obtain it by googling what the name of the package is that installs the library, then typing a command to get it, like: sudo apt-get install libopenal1 If any of the above instructions are incorrect, post a comment so other people know what to do, else, google is your friend 80| Related Torrents
