And before all, most important thing is color calibrating of a scanner, some next version of this ScanManual should include that too. Otherwise, great effort and job (and just 6 mb :) )

Actually, i quite disagree on that.
First of all, that will depend on your scanner. My scanner got options to adjust gamma, saturation, brightness, and contrast, nothing else.\n
Second, I do mention it, and recommend AGAINST doing so :)\n
This part depends a lot on both what your scanner can do, but also on your scanning style.\n
Some scanners will do a lot of editing during scanning, with various gamma settings and color adjustments.\n
You can do a lot of edits here, but I personally prefer doing those changes in Photoshop after, which give me more control over my scan. I find it better to have a raw that is unedited, so I can experiment with editing, than have 50 pages I have to rescan because I had some setting turned on that made the scan look wrong.\n
Try to experiment and see what works for you, but my guide from now on is based on no setting during scanning.
