Aug. 20, 1961), under which he released novels in the genre of adventure thriller. The second alias writer - James Clemens used them to create books of fantasy. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller, translated into more than forty languages. Jim was born in Chicago, USA in a large family (Jim 3 brothers and 3 sisters). In 1985, he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Missouri. After moving to California, Jim opened his own veterinary clinic, which was led for 10 years. Jim literary activity began in 1995. His first novel, "The Cave" he wrote while working in a veterinary clinic. Jim was looking for a publishing house which would have published his novel, but found only in 1996, but it was released only after 3 years. During the waiting publication, Jim decided to switch to the fantasy genre, and in 1998 published the first work of the series "The Damned and the outcasts" - "Fire Witch" under the pen name James Clemens. Not being able to combine the management of the clinic and literary activity, Jim sold the business and began to write new novels. Jim enjoys scuba diving and caving, which helps him in writing of his works, the action of the majority of which is under water or underground. In 2007, James was hired to writing the book version of an Indiana Jones movie - "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Sharing Widget |
