Jordi Bernet pack (data9724-DCP, relieta, JJ, and others) [DCP-D]

Some of you might know Jordi Bernet, one of the great european artists.
His main works are Torpedo (see my The Complete Torpedo 1-4 torrent), Kraken, Custer, Dark Tales, and Clara, but he has also done work on american comics, such as Jonah Hex, Batman, and an issue of 100 Bullets.

Most of his books are oldschool noir or gangster books, from back when men were men, women were gorgeous, and a pistol could solve a lot of the worlds problems.

A few of the european books have been officially released, but all in this pack are scanlations.

Bernet's books are NOT child friendly, and feature both nudity, sex, and violence, although nothing worse than you can see in the average HBO series. Just don't hand these books to your kid without having read and OK'ed them first :D


Dark Tales
Let's start this pack off with Dark Tales, a 273 pages scanlation that relieta and I worked hard on for a few months....it is 35 short stories by Bernet, made over a period of over 20 years, never before collected in one album.

Relieta spend a LOT of time finding good versions in various languages and cleaning them up for this project, before he even started translating. The stories themselves are short, evil stories, following the themes of human depravity, despair, dark humor, and ultimate redemption.
This is not a nice book, it is an evil book, but it's a great read.
Relieta spend over 100 times on editing and translating this, and I spend over 25 hours proofreading it 5 times, so the least you can do are read it :lol:






Custer
Created in 1985, “Custer” marks the beginning of a collaboration between a great Argentinean writer, Carlos Trillo and Jordi Bernet, a Spanish comics artist, best known for the gangster comic series “Torpedo”.
It was the legendary and now defunct publisher Toutain who proposed Trillo to write a script for a science fiction comic story that could be both thrilling and unique. The cinematic quality of Jordi Bernet’s art was a perfect match for the project. Bernet was insisting, however, that, even though the story was taking place in fictional Metropolis, there must be as little science fiction as possible (generally not very loved by Bernet).
The end result was the creation of a prophetic masterpiece — an epic story, showing a dehumanized society, plagued by censorship, media manipulation, and loss of privacy. Trillo and Bernet predicted the rise and dominance of the reality television genre in our digitized society under the watchful eyes of surveillance cameras.





Kraken
This book, as most of his books, has never never been released in english, and relieta as usual did an amazing job of translating and restoring this book to the result you can see here today, and I did my usual huge job of turning his translation into proper english :lol:

Kraken is a sci fi book about Lieutenant Dante of the Underground Action Group, Metropol's sewer police, and his fight against the nightmareish Kraken! A job not made any easier by the various crimes going in both in the sewers, and in the city above.






The Cry of the Vampire

It is about the stunning young vampire, Ludmila, who searches for her long lost maker, by enlisting a photographer to help her take pictures of people matching his description. The photographer of course fall in love with her, without knowing her secret.




The Nature of the Beast
Just a classic tale of boy meets girl, girl seduces boy, girl want boy to kill her husband :)





Snake
Collection of hard-boiled western stories about Snake, the fastest gun in the west.






Beauty and The Beast
Opposites attract....

Betty by Night (3 albums)
Fun and short stories about Betty (Clara in the original, and in the upcoming new translation), a whore with a heart of gold, always ready to help her friends. She struggles with her life, how she can take care of her son, despite her job.
These are 2 page short stories, and DO feature a lot of sexual acts, you have been warned.









Sarvane (2 albums)
Sarvan is a woman living in a fantasy-science fiction environment, on a barbarous planet where a blonde astronaut, Heloin, arrives. The volatile Sarvan claims him for herself, and this generates an almost endless series of struggles. In many of these clashes Sarvan dresses in a revealing bikini that frequently slides down.





These following 3 albums are more pornographic in nature than anything else in the pack, with just a minor story to chain it all together. Definitely not for kids.

Bang Bang 1
A sexy series of the adventures of Chica, one hot babe the gangsters of Chicago are tearing each other apart for! Fleeing trouble with her boyfriend, he disguises himself as her mom and she as a virtuous virgin to snare a rich gangster. Yeah, right. Full of sex and action!




Bang Bang 2 - Viva Mexico
Hot tamale Chica and her blonde friend who’s so hot for her have gotten themselves into so much trouble, even escaping across the border into Mexico doesn't fix things, quite the contrary, they get into even more hilarious problems with the entire Mexican army, no less! Suspense, dark humor and hot sex as Chica goes back over all the craziness she’s sown along her way.




Bang Bang 3 - Queens of the Savanna
And here we go again! Thanks to the help of a gringo and aviator, Cicca and Karen escape stealing the pay of the trooops of Lahorca. But the plane crashed in in the savanna. No gringo and no money. They are saved by pygmies, who think Cicca is their Virginity Goddess. A terrible mistake!...Her name is Cicca, but every one calls her Bang-Bang...A name that sounds like crime....
