A 14-year old Maori boy appears to be the sole survivor of a fire at a mansion run by a suspected UFO cult on a remote island off Auckland, New Zealand.He won't talk to the cops but he does tell youth aid detective Sue Williams her girlfriend is leaving her. She thinks its a cop's prank but when she discovers its true, she's heartbroken. Slowly an unlikely friendship between the psychic orphan and the cop flourishes as Sue sets out to discover the source of the fire and where the occupants have gone. But as Sam knows this mystery is going to take Sue into deeper water than she can possibly imagine because *they* are still out to get him.

Part one of a six part global, paranormal/sci-fi adventure/romance reminiscient of the X-files meets Harry Potter but with a much harder, Earth in 2009, reality-based edge.
