When it comes to "Collapsable Lung" I will forget and not slow down.

I tried to enjoy this album, but with the exception of "Don't Blink" I can't. It's clear the intention was just to have a good time and make a pop album, but lyrically there is too much of a departure for me. It doesn't hold the same brilliance of Matthew Thiessen's trademark writing style. If it did, I could buy into the pop vibe this album holds, but it's so void of substance that I can't enjoy it. Though it will probably sell millions.

Listener's concerned with content should be aware that some songs contain questionable content. "PTL" seems to pretty clearly be about a one night stand while "Disaster" refers to a woman as "sexy". There are several references to spending time in bars throughout the album and "Sweeter" mentions "you can't drink enough to wash her down". The only song that holds any spiritual significance seems to be the final song, "Collapsable Lung". Although the second verse makes me wonder if I'm just misinterpreting the song, because it doesn't seem to connect with the rest of it.
