Sinister - Dark Memorials (2015)

SINISTER was a band arising in the middle of the Death-Metal hype, starting in 1989. After releasing a 1500 copies selling demo, a promo tape followed. This promo resulted in signing to Nuclear Blast Records, Germany 1991. The debut CD “Cross the Styx”, released in early 1992, sold numerous copies worldwide. Many European live shows, followed and touring with bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Deicide increased SINISTER’s ever growing reputation.
SINISTER succeeded in maintaining their popularity by releasing the albums “Diabolical Summoning” (1993), “’Hate”’ (1995), “Bastard Saints” (1996), “Aggressive Measures (1998)”, “Creative Killings” (2001) and “Savage or Grace” (2003) and by playing a great deal of live shows worldwide, including well known festivals like Wacken Open Air, Milwaukee Metalfest and the Czech Dynamo Fest.

After a split-up period of almost three years, SINISTER returned with the massive album “Afterburner” in 2006.

The band left Nuclear Blast Records and signed with Massacre Records. They entered the studio in 2008 and in 2010 to record the albums, “The Silent Howling” and “Legacy Of Ashes” which were released end of 2008 and 2010. During this period SINISTER played live shows in over 25 countries to support the albums.

In 2011 Adrie was left alone by the other band members and called upon project band ABSURD UNIVERSE’s fellow mates to form a brand new SINISTER line-up.

In June 2012, SINISTER paid another visit to the “Soundlodge Studios” where the new album “The Carnage Ending” was recorded. With their twelfth album “The carnage Ending” SINISTER unveil a new chapter in SINISTER’s rich history. Going back to their old school roots, SINISTER came up with 10 old school, ridiculously heavy and very modern sounding master pieces of death metal, excellently produced by Jörg Uken from the Soundlodge studio. The very structured songwriting, the old school feel with modern sound, the straight heaviness, the ever-continuous battering and the massive production mark the biggest changes to the former albums.
