Generally laptops aren't meant for gaming, no matter how powerful it is.
Try running the game with lower graphics options in-game. Having a lot of expansion packs installed CAN cause lag, or slower loading times.
Usually the cause is Custom Content and Mods though. If you have ANY, please remove ALL of them first and then test your game again, to see if they are the cause.

We try to stick to the original game files as much as possible. All the The Sims 3 games that we provide (and are included in this "Complete" torrent) are non-modified. We're not so keen on repacks and automated installers, that install everything at once and unnecessarily modify all kinds of Registry values.
