TheBlackPacket - ProxyGambit Plans and Missing Raspberry Pi Raspbian Linux Image (ClownSEC) (Size: 1.08 GB)
Description
This set of blueprints and plans are being uploaded here because all instances of the Raspbian Linux image (proxygambit-2015-05-05-raspbian-wheezy.img.zip) for Raspberry Pi is being scrubbed from the net making this project impossible. Just as the old project ProxyHam disappeared
What happened to ProxyHam? https://nakedsecurity.sophos...5/07/14/who-killed-proxyham/ Proxyham's promise: to enable whistleblowers, dissidents or anybody who seeks anonymous connectivity (including, of course, criminals) to connect to a Wi-Fi spot that's up to 2.5 miles away. Thus would surveillance be thrown off-track, as law enforcement or other snoopers sniff their way not to our doorsteps but rather to whatever public Wi-Fi spot the device gloms onto - for example, at a local coffee shop or a public library. But over the weekend, the rug got pulled out from under not only the Proxyham project, which has been shelved, but a talk that had been slated for the upcoming DEF CON security conference. Speculation has subsequently erupted over the mysterious cancellation and Caudill's statements that he's not at liberty to explain. http://www.clowndotpy.com/pr...-its-worse-with-proxygambit/ ---- What is ProxyGambit? ProxyGambit is an improvement and reincarnation of ProxyHam, the promising device that was to debut at Defcon 2015, yet vanished with no source, documentation or reason for its "destruction". ProxyHam "promised to mask your location online by putting you up to 2.5 miles away from your router" ------------ ProxyGambit is a simple anonymization device that allows you to access the Internet from anywhere in the world without revealing your true location or IP, fracturing your traffic from the Internet/IP through either a long distance radio link or a reverse tunneled GSM bridge that ultimately drops back onto the Internet and exits through a wireless network you're no where near. While a point to point link is supported, the reverse GSM-to-TCP bridge allows you to proxy from thousands of miles away with nothing other than a computer and Internet with no direct link back to your originating machine. More Info: https://github.com/samyk/proxygambit ---------- So what is a hacker to do when the authorities tell try to suppress information? You guessed it, now there is a whole new set of projects to fill the void. Already HackADay has published full plans for the missing ProxyHam project in case you feel like making one yourself: http://hackaday.com/2015/07/...ite-a-cancelled-defcon-talk/ Not so fast! Before you start building yourself a ProxyHam, check out the plans by hacker Samy Kamkar who has developed a superior design utilizing a GSM bridge called the “Proxy Gambit”. “While a point to point link is possible, the reverse GSM bridge allows you to proxy from thousands of miles away with nothing other than a computer and Internet with no direct link back to your originating machine.” http://samy.pl/proxygambit/ Sharing Widget |
