This is a classic show and a favorite of mine so when Doki started working on its Bluray release with new subs, I was pumped. I needed to watch/listen to Nyuu/Lucy in pure excellence so here it is. I've added all the bells & whistles to this release that I could. The 720p Hi10p video comes from Doki’s new encode of the JP-BD. The 5.1 24-bit Japanese audio comes from Coalgirls’ JP-BD release as Doki's audio was just 16-bit FLAC (yup, just). The English 5.1 24-bit FLAC audio comes from the US-BD compliments of Etzimal (getting me the DTS-MA tracks from ADC) and Hark0n (helping me to convert the audio). All the other previous dual audio releases of Elfen Lied used 5.1 AC3 English audio from the US-DVD (Coalgirls) or encoded the US-BD DTS-MA audio tracks to low-bit rate AAC (DHD, etc). The German 5.1 AC3 audio comes from the German-DVD compliments of Coalgirls. I reworked the subs quite a bit on this release. I used Doki’s newest styled subs and karaoke (which looks great) as the primary base of the styling for the subs in this release. I didn't edit Doki’s original script based on AKH-Anisubs translation too much other than adding missing signs and text in a few of the episodes (got these from Coalgirls and then restyled them). I completely reworked Coalgirls’ subs which are based on the R1 subs (they used anime-mx for the OVA). I styled everything in the same fashion as Doki's release and included Doki's karaoke for the OP & ED. For the Signs & Songs only track for the English dub, I used Doki’s karaoke and signs while adding in a few missing signs from the Coalgirls release. I also included a Signs & Songs track for the German dub which was based on Coalgirls' subs. However, I updated the karaoke and German lyrics to include Doki’s Kfx and typesetting. Pics below. The 720p Hi10p Tri-Audio FLAC version is the ultimate release (especially for you German speakers out there) but I'll also eventually be releasing a ”lighter” 720p Hi10p Dual Audio release with AAC audio instead of FLAC for those who want to save space.
