Timeless classics come alive with a magical spirit reminiscent of those childhood days spent gazing into the starry night waiting for the jolly man in red. Enchanting harmonies are coupled with a touch of rock and roll. Originally formed in New York in the mid-'90s, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra was masterminded by Broadway enthusiast/producer Paul O'Neill. O'Neill himself had proven his talents during the early '80s as a rock guitarist by playing in Broadway musicals Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. O'Neill went on to produce for musical legends such as Aerosmith and The Badlands. In the early '90s, he organized and promoted Japanese tours for Sting, Madonna, and Bon Jovi. By the mid '90s, the well received rock group, Savatage, was performing several of O'Neill's musicals, including Struts and Dead Winter Dead. In 1996, after compiling a 60-piece orchestra and a chorus chosen from New York's best child performers, Christmas Eve and Other Stories debuted. It enchanted audiences across the nation with tracks such as "The Prince of Peace," with vocals by Cat cast member Marlena Danielle. The masterpiece received rave reviews. By 1998, O'Neill and company recorded The Christmas Attic. The compilation features traditional holiday tunes along with endearing compositions from several group members. The third volume of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas trilogy, The Lost Christmas Eve, was released in the fall of 2004. Narrated by award-winning actor Ossie Davis, the production takes us on a journey of a runaway little girl's decision to return to her family after she enters a rundown theatre for shelter and encounters an old caretaker who guides her on her journey. This magical story - which features appearances from Atlantic recording artists Jewel and Michael Crawford - was filmed entirely on location at the newly refurbished and historic Loews Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, New Jersey, and includes performances of such tracks as "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Good King Joy," "Christmas Canon," "Music Box Blues," "Promises To Keep," and "This Christmas Day,".
