One of the better animes out there for the simple reason that it (more or less) tells an interesting story, sticks to the plot, and doesn't get bogged down by useless, confusing, unecessary tangents written by Ritalin-addled hacks that can't stand the idea of the story not moving forward at light speed every second of every episode (granted there are a few, but they don't affect the overall series or get stretched out over the whole story arc).

Also, thank God the series isn't bogged down by the teen angst that ruins so many other animes. You won't find the utterly stupid, whiny, crying b!tches that are prevalent in most modern anime series.

Now if they'd just have Hoshijiro stop using the same giggle track over and over and over ad nauseum. . .

Animes like this only go for 12 episodes at a time. You should be happy if a 2nd season comes at all. :(
